Description: Our own collection of this tuberous perennial, which we collected from a small hill near Quetzaltenango Guatemala. Where it had formed a small colony of upright stems to 1.2m tall, with downy pinnately arranged elliptic leaflets. Flowering in August-October for us with large burnt orange flowers lasting for many weeks. For a sunny warm spot in moist but well drained soil, protect roots from frost.
