Calceolaria tomentosa - BSWJ16411

Pot Size: 2 litre (deep)
Price: £25.00
Description:
Not usually found in Colombia, hence a bit of a rarity as we only found the single plant not far from the Chingazá National Park, east of Bogotá in the Eastern Andes. A semi-evergreen scandent climber which pushes its way through the branches of surrounding shrubs for support. Bearing perfoliate hastate (arrow-head shaped) leaves with the stems appearing to grow through the winged petioles, bearing terminal inflorescences of yellow slipper flowers, backed by 4 large bracts. Best grown in a fertile drained soil in a sheltered site out of freezing winds. Collected at over 3500m, 1.5m tall.
