Description:
A real rarity, that may fool anyone that it could not possibly be a Bomarea. A true alpine non-climbing species that we collected seed of at a very lofty 4060m on the Nevada del Ruiz, Cordillera Central, Colombia, growing with and through ericaceous dwarf shrubs on an exposed ridge, in early 2024. Only attaining 15-20cm in height on mostly single stems of narrowly obovate tiny foliage, bearing a few terminal deep red-orange outer and bright yellow inner petals. Followed by small round seed pods covered in short soft hair. Grow in a cool well-lit position with adequate drainage. SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM LATE SPRING 2025
