Carolina, in their words :- An evergreen perennial which emerges from a thin slowly creeping rhizome. A. 'Flowing Fountains' is a unique cast iron plant, brought to the US as an un-named clone of Aspidistra lurida from China's Wuhan Botanical Garden by plantsman Hayes Jackson. A. 'Flowing Fountains' has formed a strongly arching clump to 2' tall x 6' wide in ten years. The clump is composed of 20" long x 2" wide dark green leaves which are heavily speckled with large creamy yellow spots. A. 'Flowing Fountains' makes a superb groundcover and is one of the finest cast iron plant cultivars they grow. It over wintered well in our gardens at 9 degrees F in 2013/2014.
