Description: A species with adherent clasping rhizomes and strong flexuous leafy stems to 1m long, bearing good-sized terminal funnel-shaped flowers, distinctly blue-purple coloured at the tips. Rescued from the scene of utter devastation in the Central Mountains of Taiwan after the '99 earthquake. Where this collection was made at 1265m from amongst the rubble of steep cliffs. Easily grown in sun or part-shade in a moisture retentive fertile drained soil, protect roots from frost.
