Description: These members of the daisy family, are good subjects for shade where they can form colonies of short vertical stems with large palmate/ peltate (stem in middle of leaf) divided leaves, stretching to 1.2m tall, when bearing a terminal panicle of flowers. Easily cultivated in a moisture-retentive fertile soil that does not waterlog in winter, best sited in full to part shade. Flowers are insignificant but handy to propagate with. Our collection of a particularly strong-growing form from Chiba Japan in 2005.
