The best and most colourful species for a limited space, forming dense clumps of upright red stems to 80cm tall with several cordate rather fleshy basal leaves 15cm across, the stem leaves smaller tinged red. Inflorescence terminal with few upright branches of bright red nutlets, when we collected them, succeeding the red-pink tinged flowers. Easily grown in any moisture retentive soil, colouring best in sun
