Pot Size: 4 litre Price: £30.00 Description: About as spiny a plant as you could ever find, which eventually forms a small aromatic tree or large shrub. Bearing unusual pinnate leaves with viciously spiny winged rachis (axis that bears the leaflets) bearing 2-6 pairs of leaflets. The small yellow flowers are set close to the branches in small irregular lateral clusters, which ultimately form small capsules which split to reveal the glossy black to dark red seed. From our 2013 seed collection gathered in a deep Himalayan valley at 2900m. Best grown in full sun to part shade, in a well draining soil. Twigs used to clean teeth, while the seed are ground as a condiment, as well as many other uses.
