Forming tall evergreen trees to 10m, bearing branches of large dark lustrous green leaves on red petioles, weighted down by generous axillary drupes of glossy black grape-like fruit on bright red pedicells. Which we collected from the surrounding undergrowth, where the monkeys had thrown them.Best grown in part shade with some overhead protection (edge of woodland) in a humus rich soil. Height 6m.
