Where this species grew as an aerial-rooting climber/epiphyte (can be free standing) on some of the trees at the edge of the dense forest. With pinnately arranged leaves and terminal paniculate inflorescences of black fruit. Cultivate in a drained leafy soil with the base in shade (terrestrially) growing into the sun onto a suitable support.
