Pot Size: 3 litre Price: £40.00 Description: An outstanding form of a really good variety, that we collected seed of on the island of Yakushima (south of all the main islands in Japan). Which we found growing in the moist alpine forest, as a green carpet of tiny leaves enveloping all the boulders. Vastly different to the aerial climbing stems as the purple-red tinted leaves enlarge, as they have on our east facing wall in Wales. Complemented with a dense covering of the familiar inflorescences, in early summer, but with an unmistakable sweet scent. Only forming small climbing plants to around 3m, best grown in good light for reliable flowering in a soil that does not dry out. Syn. var. cordifolia.
