Description:
An unusually early flowering form of a species with strange shaped spathes, sets this species apart from the rest of the genus. The opening of the green spathe is paler and appears contorted into a helmet-shape, with a flared opening, opening in the autumn in the wild. Leaves, 1-2, are large trifoliate and glossy, with thin tapering tips. Surprisingly hardy in well drained shade. Our collection from a joint expedition with Dan Hinkley late 2024, on Datunshan in northern Taiwan.
