Pot Size: 5 litre Price: £150.00 Description: Parastyrax was my initial identification, but according to one of the worlds leading authority in this family, has been identified as most likely to be a new genus. The fruit I collected (3 times) has a persistent calyx and very fleshy exocarp surrounding the woody capsule, which holds the tiny seed in rows. The white flowers pink in bud, are of a similar vein to Alniphyllum, but less congested. Previously to this collection I had only seen medium-sized shrubs, meanwhile this was a small tree left after illegal clearing. This was from a spring collection in April 2017, when we were attempting to get conservation status for the Y Ty area of northern most Vietnam. Which I am happy to state that it now has. First flowering in France in 2024.
