Where they formed small tidy evergreen trees or largish shrubs, bearing rounded to ovate parchment textured small grey-green conspicuously veined leaves. With terminal large to small pendant panicles on slender rust-coloured stems of bright pink frilly-edged campanulate flowers for many months from early summer. Best grown in a sheltered position or a warm wall, where the soil does not dry out, in an acid to neutral drained soil.
