Pot Size: 1 litre Price: £15.00 Description: A hardy perennial from Sichuan and northeast Yunnan, China that spreads by underground rhizomes with short sections 2-5 cm long. With red mottled stems up to 40 cm tall, often glaucus near the base with 5-10 leaves. Which are alternate along the stems and glossy above, paler to bluish below, broadly lanceolate to ovate, 3-8 cm long and 2-4 cm wide, with five main veins. The 1-3 white to greenish pendant flowers are to 2 cm long born in the leaf axils. Followed by blue-black berries with a powdery bloom, flowering from April to June. Best grown in a drained fertile soil in part shade.
